Road Signs

Category: My Poetry

roads that lead to

where I shouldn’t go

have signs intended

toward secrecy

dead end

no outlet

no turnaround

private

no trespassing

some might just stop or

circle around

me—

I will travel further

This poem was written for the prompt “sign” at Two for Tuesdays.

YES! Those “detour” type signs are very inviting at times. They sometimes raise the question of “Why?” and then there is a little voice that says it would be fun to find the answer.

Very nice – you are a free spirit, and I admire your desire to go further…

It does seem like those roads less travelled are more welcoming than what one has to deal with in our ‘cookie-cutter’ existence…at least for me.

    Beautiful post!
