Whisper of Want
The place I want to get back to
echo and shadow
whispered in winter
the steps in the snow
lead around and around
a place called want
dust of snow
in a disused graveyard
again, the fields
in your absence
between brightness and weight
I broke a sheaf of light

Beautiful. I must try this one day. You placed each title so tenderly to make your story come alive. I loved this. Thanks for sharing it with us. Have a nice weekend.
wow pam this poem whisper of want proves you to be a master architect! sooo pretty and delicate, the poem is only done
justice when whispered.
So, Pam——–how are you?
I have been following both Coosa Creek sites. Yes, I know there are many more, but, in this case you must know of which two I refer. At the end of the month I will be printing up my “Pam Olson File” to share with ‘Salon Nouveau’. The GBB ‘Literary Open Mic-Night is getting a longer than expected hiatus. Anyway, on to the point.
Thank you for creating something seriously good out of this “titled” approach to making thoughts come together from dissimilar tongues to nurture your own over-all concept. The genius here? That you didn’t apply it for the same effect the the Gold Beach moderator would spring on his captive audience. The humor in his “Index” versifyin’ wasn’t lost, of course, just the dignity. Your version happens in three elements; impression, invitation, and introduction to one another. Kind of like having guests in for dinner. Kudos!

Yes, cynthia has it spot on…you are a true architect and a beautiful wordsmith.
Wow. This is spectacular!!
Earl, I’m so glad that you decided to leave a comment– finally. Thank you for the kind words. You haven’t sent me any of your poems lately– have you been writing?
Oh, I really like how you constructed this.
I am just starting to write poetry (last in 8th grade which was in the mid 70s) and I am not very well read poetry wise, so I am not ready to tackle anything like this. I have read a few of the others also. But yours is terrific. Well done.
Thanks for visiting and especially for commenting!
Lady Pam,
I am. The howsomever of public reading has finally taken a rest stop, which had begun to take place about the time you were preparing some of your finest Gold Beach presentations. Public readings of other works was a performance among those of the other participants. In my conversations with Rick, which while tendered with humor, always bore the spark of truths to be studied and practiced, the idea of a moderator performing his own material comes across as self-promotion. GBB hasn’t even entered into discussions about returning the old format to the ‘Rare Book Room”. Carolyn and I are attempting to foster another Salon on a once a month basis, ala Brookings.
I will post you a copy of the demo CD of “The Voices of …” Those who have aided in brining about this fine item have faith in The Reading Wizard of Od’, and I owe them a debt of gratitude.
With your permission only, I can e-post random pieces. I should probably send them to your home.
This is worthy of the time you invest in it;

Hi Pam,
I really like the idea of taking a line of other poems and putting them together in one. And also it all fits together perfectly! Really like it,
Milou
