Remnants of Roots

Category: Tanka and Haiku

the remnants of roots

lie locked in day’s ligature

what was dark is light

what was buried is unearthed

spent roots bound up with the sky

Sorry I missed this the first time around. It is bautiful poetry! I just love the word “burled”! And that last line is awesome!

Written during a time when I was buried under work. So lovely to read now.

GReat use of the word ‘ligature.’ your spare, delicate poem seems to expose dualities and in a space of transition time.

    Pam,
I can’t add more than what’s been said. I will say I’m very glad you left a link for “Little Lovin’ Monday.”
