sighs caught in branches
hanging down like Spanish moss
sighs draped like spiderwebs
gauzy and laden with dew
sighs wound like prey in a net
sighs among the leaves
quivering in greenness
sighs falling to the soft soil
sighs running down the trunk
trapped in the crevices
funneled toward the roots
sighs pulled upward again
locked within trunk and branches
then set free— to sigh again
