Sisters with Purpose

Category: My Poetry

see the clouds dance

sculpted by air currents

change is their constant

still the waves move

changing– always changing

but their essence remains

always the dunes move

shifting with the wind

but sand is still sand

we are gathered as sisters

together– yet separate

four hearts but only one purpose

Pamela Olson, 8/7/08

This poem was inspired

by Rick Mobbs’ painting

at Mine Enemy Grows Older

the movement of life … all the moments that make up shifts in experience … lovely. Peace, JP/deb

Motion conveyed, but even better, a reminder of the constants in life that never change.

There is a sense in which you can step into the same river twice… I really like this response to the prompt.
