I like the image in your tanka of the river waiting to be noticed by the sea while their waters mingle. Very nice.

“the river waits / mouth to sea” – I love both the sound and image of this and the mingling of the “intimate liquids”
I like the way the curve of the words echoes the curve of the shore in the photo – a beautiful pair.
