what if I choose
neither left
or right
just because
there is no path
laid between the two
the grass is still sweet
the creek still flows
and at the end
the journey will be
different
unplanned
where my feet wander
is where my heart calls from
I can hear it leading me
between
neither left
or right

Exactly. Why be limited two the two options that are visible and tried before? Thanks for this.
You don’t have to chose either, you can make your own path and create as you go, or enjoy the surprise! Good poem.
beautiful..
Forging a different path is admirable – at least in my opinion. Nice work!!
that’s certainly a good attitude in life. I’d be wary about doing that near boggy land though….
Nothing can be better than following that beckoning from the heart.
i believe if we all listened to ‘where the heart calls from’ it would be a blessing of monumental proportions…
The green grass of heart’s calling.Such an invitation!
Beautifully written.
Sounds like you might have been writing about the way I’ve often approached life!
) Nice job!
Wonderful, Pam! Follow your heart is a good rule. Sometimes there are hurts from doing that but the walk is wonderful at first. (I followed Adi’s heart in my OSI.
)
..
That sounds like a good plan to me. Great shot.
Oh I love that!!! Who says you HAVE to choose one over the other? Just make a new one! Beautifully done!
