Thinking

Category: My Poetry
whirlpool
thoughts fall away
like leaves kissed by
cold nights and short days

ideas flowing like a stream
eddys and whirlpools circling
thoughts upon themselves

thoughts as bright as sunlight
held tightly within a hand
only to be freed again

one by one
as fingers slowly
uncurl

That tight hand makes me think of the center of a vortex, the force that pulls and pulls.

I love the freedom expressed in your words. Sometimes it’s difficult to release those thoughts and feelings but when we can it’s freeing. Hope all is well. Have a great day.

Hi Pam, I’ll blame Mr. Linky for missing you last week. ;-)
I like this, it aptly describes my fleeting thought pattern to a “T”.
My little note pad records them before they are gone if I can remember to write these thoughts down.
A very nice use of the prompt, thank you.
