Trembling

in my open palm
rests the fallen leaf: trembling
freedom begins now

Very nice!!
Hi Pam, some folks don’t know when they are well off.
My favorite star, now deceased, sang, “freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose.”
..
Very nice, Pam. And agree with Jim!
Just superb. Thanks Pam!
Ooh, I like the notion of trembling freedom… freedom can be a scary thing sometimes, or an exciting thing. Trembling either way, even for leaves.
I read it as someone starting over, free from the past mistakes and all the baggages
Wonderful! The terror of sudden freedom, in a way.
I’m free. free falling.
