Trembling

leaf in palm

in my open palm

rests the fallen leaf:  trembling

freedom begins now

    My favorite star, now deceased, sang, “freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose.” :-)

    Ooh, I like the notion of trembling freedom… freedom can be a scary thing sometimes, or an exciting thing. Trembling either way, even for leaves.
