About

A word about me. . . I started writing in elementary school (lots of science fiction short stories) and wrote my first poem in junior high.  I put my pen down for many years but fell in love with reading poetry over the last 10-12 years.  I started writing again while living in Mississippi, but it was a move to the southern Oregon coast that led me to begin writing about nature.  I am a west coast native transplanted into the deep south and I hope you enjoy my writings. 12 comments

I most certainly do enjoy your poetry, an metaphysical
other world feel to each poem makes your work memorable.

I grew up in Kansas City and now live in Boston. I believe our writing benefits when we have lived in more than one place. The better travelled, the better the Writing. Your Poetry and Photography are both excellent!

I just spent some time visiting your blog. Very elegant, and I enjoyed your writing. Just wanted to drop a note to say — well done!

P.S. I live in the northern Oregon foothills of the Cascades, and spend a great deal of time exploring the natural wonders of this amazing state. Love the Oregon Coast — breathtaking from top to bottom… ;)

Hi- I enjoy your writing very much. A few years ago, I used a similar color scheme on an exclusively poetry blog, but the layout was not as sophisticated as this. I adore your layout, colors, and content.

Oregon coast is a place I’d love to visit, especially after viewing so many beautiful photos of it in blogland.

Hi- I was sure I’d been here before because your writing felt familiar and I love purple and the moon. Sorry it has taken me so long to return. Typepad had problems with posting comments so I didn’t know about your comment on the separate “page” I created until recently.
    I’m bookmarking you.

As I followed a link to your webpage, the forehead with the ash marked cross caught my attention right away.
I placed 55 of those crosses on foreheads last night.
I would have loved to had the poem available; it is wonderful. I would like to see about using the Ash Wednesday poem for future church services. Please contact me at the e-mail I listed above.
I have bookmarked and will be returning.
Thank you for sharing with us.

Enjoyed reading your poetry, will revisit to read more.
Your renewed interest in poetry sounds similar to my renewed interest, after almost 20 years, in photography. The good aspect is individuals grow and see life differently at different stages. RDS

A beautiful site with wonderful, touching poetry.

I wonder if you might be interested in a review copy of my collection? I think we have some qualities in common. There is a free download available on the website, but I would be happy to send you a hard copy if you are interested.

Thanks for all your lovely work here.
