Trailer Lazy: Vampire Edition

These trailers have been out for awhile, but you know me: anything for a cheap post. Is this a mini-revolution of vampire movies or something?  Last year’s not-terrible 30 Days of Night and now these two.  Although I haven’t seen either of them (Twilight opens next month, Let the Right One In opened earlier this Fall), and even though they’re both about teen vampires, it looks like they couldn’t be more different.  You might want to press play, then stop and let them load before you watch them. Also, note that the trailer for Let the Right One In is Red Band. Enjoy!

    Hi! Rick,
After I viewed both trailer, I couldn’t agree with you more both films are extremely different from each other…“Twilight” seems like your regular “run of the mill “teen” vampire flick, but on the other hand, “Let the Right One In” seems like a much darker, mysterious and scarier film than the “former” vampire flick!….“Twilight”

    dcd ;)

Yeah, I think that’s probably right. Twilight seems to be the most conventional, but Let the Right One In looks like the better flim.

Which means Twilight will be by far the most successful, of course.

  • “Last year’s not-terrible 30 Days of Night”

I’m sure they’ll pick that up for DVD cover blurb any day now.

  • How about this one: “30 Days of Night — It’s pretty good, I guess!”

  • From the new DVD Edition cover:

Rick Olson says, “Eh, it’s okay. I mean, it’s not not good.”

Does blurbing pay anything, cause I’ll do it, I really will. Maybe I can get a new money-maker if the church gig goes South.

    “I kinda liked the ending”

    Or maybe

“I saw it, and, uh …”

  • Sam Juliano

I did see LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, and found it to be a mesmerizing experience. It’s the best of its kind in a long time. I can’t wait to hear what Rick thinks of it.

As soon as I’ve seen it, Sam, I’ll let you know . . . down here in Alabam, Swedish vampire flicks aren’t the things that come first to the multi-plexes.
