Coosa Creek Mambo is about film and religion, and pretty-much whatever else I decide to write about. Film is a growing interest of mine, and I’m a professional Christian. That’s right, I’m a preacher, and like all us seminary-trained preacher types, I can’t not think theologically about stuff. Seminary trains us to think theologically. It’s diabolical that way.

I also hope that this blog will have a Southern slant; some of the most atmospheric films have been about the region. At the same time, some of some of the most cliché-ridden films have been set here as well. It’s my impression—and it’s a pretty solid one, having grown up there—that everybody on the West Coast thinks everybody in the Southeast is inbred, a moron or both. Maybe I can help show otherwise in this blog.
