Fernando Meirelles’ Blindnes, a film I’ve been looking forward to, opened the Cannes film festival last week, and the reviews have been mixed. Dave McCoy of MSN movies doesn’t particularly care for it:

Shine a Light, Martin Scorsese’s new documentary on the Rolling Stones, opened the Berlin film festival this year. Although Scorsese has used the Stones’ music in numerous films over the years, this is the first time they’ve worked one-on-one, writes Michael Jones in Variety:
